Shopping Spotlight - Week of June 29, 2009
Flirt is finally open in its new location at Selby and Snelling in St. Paul and it feels like home. The space next door to Patina is cozy, pink and brimming with lovely lingerie. The boutique, which started out on Grand, has really found its footing, and like the perfect mate, it was worth the wait. The assortment is more focused on underpinnings with added brands and greater depth that will have you plotting date nights for months to come.
Best dressed kids - for less

Used to be that every shopping area included a high-end baby boutique. Sign of the times: children’s consignment shops are becoming more common. The latest are Classic Child in downtown Excelsior (pictured) and Bella Bambino in Burnsville. Both feature better brands at discount prices. Beyond clothing for newborns through size 16, Classic Child is building up a consignment maternity department. Bella Bambino has all the gear including toys, nursery bedding and furniture. On the east side of the metro, try Boomerang Baby. And don't forget: you can sell your outgrown clothing and gear at these newer stores as well - make some money, and clean out the basement.
